Legal Budgets was set up in 2000, by Jim Diamond F.A.L.C.D, who has over 20 years costs experience working in costs disputes both independently and in-house for the likes of Clifford Turner (now Clifford Chance) in the 80's & Allen & Overy in the 90's. Jim's first article on the subject of budgeting was published in 1999 called "Budget Based Billing". Jim, has for nearly a decade formulated in conjunction with Legal500 the definitive lawyer and barrister hourly rate survey. Jim has produced numerous other articles published in the like of The Lawyer, Trust & Trustee magazine, Legal Business. Jim has given many internal seminars to top companies and major law firms and has spoken at many major conferences including: 2003- Annual Law Society Conference. 2004- IBC's 20th Anniversary Costs Conference. 2005 Judges & Costs Judges Forum at the Royal Courts of Justice on the subject of Legal budgets.
